Why?
As an engineer I don't believe in accidents at this scale.
Company with billion-dollar resources has no chat export? Seriously?
Two possibilities:
1. Deliberate decision to keep users inside the platform.
More time in-app = more engagement = more data = better models = competitive advantage.
Export makes it easier to leave. Use once, save, never return.
Rational business decision. User-hostile.
2. Complete indifference to workflow after generation.
Focused on the conversation experience. What happens after? Not their problem.
Understandable for early product. Less understandable at 350 million users.
Don't know which is worse.
